    Hi,
After dining at your wonderful place in Waitsfield and noticing the striking similarity of some of the paintings to the art on your boxes I came to your website to find out the name of the artist who created this mouth-watering art. I can’t find any mention or credits though. Who does your art? It has a joyful earthy simplicity that we love and I would like to know how we might contact the artist. Could you help me?
    Thank you!

Thanks for your contact! We have been lucky enough to work with a talented crew of bakers, so our art is generally created in house. Over the years, the two main artists have been American Flatbread Founder George Schenk and one of our first bakers, Iana Crane Wing, who has sinced moved on to work as an artist full time.

    warm regards, Megan

Just thought I would say that I can not find your hours anywhere on the website. I’m sure they must be there, but I don’t see them. Thanks Alyce Oreilly

Thanks for this feedback. We like hearing how we can make our website more helpful. We do list the hours of each restaurant separately on the website, because they are different per restaurant. From the “Restaurant” flag on our homepage, you can get to each location’s mini homepage. Let me know if you need more direction, or if you have a suggestion I’d love to hear it. BTW, the hours at Lareau Farm are: Thurs, Fri, & Sat 5-9:30. Best regards, Megan

    George please read the following:
For 17 years, we have been going to Waitsfield 2-3 times each year. Eating at flatbread 3-5 times per year has been a highlight of our trips. The food and the atmosphere could not have been better. I am sorry to say the following and mean not disrespect to the history of Flatbread and your personally meaningful, may I say spiritual, efforts. But with great sadness and some surprise, we see things changing. New pizza dough (early Jan 2010 visit) is too rough, heavy and its flavor competes negatively with the pizza ingredients. Prices for special pizzas have become excessive/ridiculous ($26 and $24). We were put off by hostess “any minute for a table” when additional wait was 15-20 minutes. Dare I say this: There is definitely a “corporate” feeing emerging. I am sure it is difficult to manage increased costs, and throngs of eager patrons overwhelm your staff/resources/ limited hours. However, instead of marching forward (is that necessarily a good thing?), perhaps moving backward, to extent possible, to the tried and true methods that made a legend, meant so much to patrons and their “heads”. I hope there are more memories to come! Thanks for reading this comment.
